Constipation massage is an abdominal massage that can be used to relieve bowel obstructions. These constipation natural remedies are good ways to treat constipation without the use of harsh laxatives.
If you have a bowel movement fewer than 3 times a week, it's pretty safe to say that you're constipated. Constipation can be painful and make you feel bloated and yucky.
Constipation massage can be done easily at home. You can do it yourself daily to promote regular bowel movements. Don't do this massage if you are:
pregnant
have uncontrolled hypertension
menstruating
have ulcers
have a hernia
Now that we know when not to do constipation massage let's look at how to do it. You should do this constipation massage first thing in the morning. Make sure you empty your bladder first because you'll be pushing on your abdomen. Don't eat before you give yourself an abdominal massage. If you do eat make sure you wait at least 2 hours after eating before you give yourself the massage. You'll need to use some kind of oil to get some glide. You can use olive oil or whatever natural oil you have in your kitchen. Find out more about massage oils here.
Lay on your back with your knees bent and feet resting about hip width apart on the floor.

Now starting on the right side of near the appendix use small circular strokes up to the ribcage.
Do the same small circular strokes along the bottom of the ribcage.
Once you get to the left side massage straight down the left side to just below the navel.
Massage across the abdomen to just under the navel.
This constipation massage will encourage bowel movements. Don't massage over areas that are tender.
Other Lifestyle Changes for Chronic Constipation
You should poop at least once a day, ideally three times a day. If you're having problems with constipation, you need to adjust your lifestyle. Eating fruits and vegetables will help regulate your bowels. The fiber in vegetables and fruits will help push the food through the intestines.
Drink plenty of water. Hydration is key in dealing with many health problems.
Getting plenty of exercise will help get your bowels moving. If you are moving around that will get that food moving around in you and your intestines moving.
