Hi. I'm Lovelyn, the owner of Massage-Therapy-Benefits.net. I'm just a regular person who is extremely interested in natural medicine and health. Let me tell you how the journey that led me to creating this website began.

2002 was a year of change for me. I had come back to the US after teaching English in Korea for six years at the end of 2001. I was tired of teaching and looking for a fulfilling career in a new field. One day I got into a conversation with someone about how I was struggling to find a new career. That person was a massage therapist. He told me about the profession and recommended that I look into becoming a therapist.

Honestly, I wasn't one of those people who had had an amazing experience with massage and decided to become a therapist. I had never even had a massage before I started thinking about the idea of going to massage school. The more I looked into it, the more it ticked all the boxes for me. It allowed me to help others and work for myself. These were two things that are important to me.

I didn't really fully understand how good massage therapy can be for people until I was in school. As I learned about different kinds of massage and studied anatomy, I started to realize that the ancient art of massage can be extremely valuable to people who suffer from chronic pain conditions.

As I practiced massage, I saw the positive effect it had on many people. It was great in many ways, but unfortunately massage as a career wasn't wholly for me. While working as a therapist I discovered that writing about massage and health was much more my passion than actually giving massages.

When my family moved overseas, I used the opportunity to stop doing massage as a career and start writing full time. It was a hard decision at first, but now I think it was one of the best decisions I've made. I believe that following your passion in life is extremely important. I've found mine in putting educational articles online. I also write novels which is great fun too.

Even though I no longer practice massage I want to educate the world about the value of massage. That's why I started this site. There are too many people in this world that have never had a massage. They have no idea about what they are missing.

I would like everyone to make massage part of their health maintenance routine. So read through the site to get educated about bodywork. Try getting a massage. I started a massage therapist directory on the site to help connect people with therapists in their area.
